12:20 am	November 11th First off, this day 91 years ago the Great War ended, my grandfather was a (staff?)sergeant in the U.S. Army in Europe during the war. Only got one story that I know about the war to end all wars. Wishing you all the best on this Armistice Day, especially those current or past military and their families. Point two, happy birthday, Tracy Bailey, a.k.a. neverwench. DeBray, if you read this, please pass on my best wishes. Finally, we lost a good friend six years ago today to diabetes in real life. Those on Sherwood and Trimere might remember the old grizzly bear, Stahlbern. If you do keep him in your thoughts. 11:31 pm	A Halloween idea I had an idea last night, might be an interesting meme-type thing for Halloween. Something I call the great LJ/YouTube/online Haunted House. The idea is to go on YouTube (or another video server if that's your choice). Search for paranormal videos that are/look real (corny/funny are acceptable, but you might get mocked) and post it on Halloween night. Nothing from movies or tv though, seems a little cheating to me though. Then link or embed it in your journal for Halloween. Thoughts on this one? Current Mood: geeky (Comment on this)

10:33 pm	fifteen years I've debated with posting this, I want to be seen as spreading drama, the internet seems to have plenty already. I'll get the good news out of the way, and for those who want to just do that and be done with it. Fifteen years ago today, my dachshund, Winnifer, came to live with us. She had been my step-sister's for two years, but when she moved out to Colorado Winnifer couldn't go, so we took her in. She's still kicking, quite well for a 17+ year dog, so I've got that to be thankful for. Now on to the less happy anniversary today. I don't do much for Halloween anymore, I always used to enjoy it, though I was lazier about it than other times. Up until this date in 1994, that's when my mom and I found my father slumped over in his car, I was the one to spot him first. Official death was congestive heart failure, though he'd been sick the month before. But then again, there have been so many questions about my father's death that never where answered to my satisfaction. His viewing was on Halloween night, now it's not the only thing that killed my interest in Halloween, and I've tried a couple times to get the old feeling back, pumpkin costume, but no real success.
